UCSF Benioff Oakland Children’s Hospital

Harris was selected as the mechanical contractor for this renovation of the Benioff Oakland Children’s Hospital, largely based on our long and successful history of hospital construction in the Bay Area, as well as our ability to execute the plumbing, mechanical piping and HVAC dry components under a single contract. This 28,000-square-foot 2-story remodel and upgrade consists of a new 23 bed PICU unit supported by an on suite Pharmacy, Pharmacy Hood, PBX/Sta lab and morgue.Read More

Stanford Hospital Clinical Lab Replacement

Stanford Clinical Lab was comprised of four initial phases. The initial phase consisted of a rehabilitation work in preparation for the more robust rehabilitation in phases 2 and 4. These larger phases involved craning in a temporary air handling unit which would provide airflow into adjacent spaces while we stripped down and completely rebuilt the Clinical Lab space. SFSU Science Replacement Building

Harris Bay Area has teamed up with Harris Design Studio on a design-build project for San Francisco State University. The new science building project includes 126,000 GSF building which will provide students with classrooms, learning labs, research labs, etc. This target value design project will include integrated project delivery process, tools, and behaviors and is expected to achieve LEED Gold. Lawrence Livermore Laboratory Buildings B223

Harris teamed up with Hensel Phelps for the plumbing a mechanical scope of the AME Polymers Lab (core and shell) and the AME Office building on the 2200 block of the laboratory. These two buildings were part of the first Applied Materials Engineering (AME) area plan put together by LLNL and NNSA to support stockpile stewardship. La Clinica Expansion

Harris was hired as the mechanical contractor to renovate an historic building located in downtown Vallejo for the La Clinica project. The exterior of the building was preserved while the interior was demolished. The facility serves as a dental clinic for the community. Harris’ scope was plumbing only on this project which included the domestic waters, sanitary, storm drainage (including subsurface drainage within the building) and medical gases. Bay Area Rapid Transit Hayward Station

The Bay Area Transit Hayward Station project was a service facility warehouse for BART and is located right next to the rail in Hayward, California. The project was a 135,000-square-foot building that included mostly warehouse space with some offices. The warehouse included under floor radiant piping to provide a comfort level for the client. Atherton Town Center

The Atherton Town Center project is comprised of a new city hall, library, police ancillary and remodel of the old existing town hall. Harris provided complete mechanical and plumbing systems, including controls and balancing on all structures. Whidbey General Hospital Addition + Renovation

The Whidbey General Hospital Addition and Renovation project consisted of full mechanical scope for an addition and renovation to the existing facility. The addition consisted of 45 bed patient rooms, ICU rooms and labor and delivery rooms. The renovation included build out of pharmacy, lab and perioperative spaces. WCC Student Housing

The Whatcom Community College Student House Phase 1 is an 89,000-square-foot, 221 bed dormitory facility. Additionally, it includes administration offices, public rest rooms, laundry, a mechanical equipment room, kitchen and community rooms. The structure is wood framing with electric cove heat in the dormitories, VRF in the offices and packaged DX units for the community rooms.
