Washington National Cathedral HVAC Upgrade

Washington National Cathedral was first air conditioned in the mid-1970s by Harris who installed large air handlers to bring in air from the outside and recycle air from the interior. However, the Cathedral did not have the resources at the time to add the pipes and chiller to cool the vast interior. In 2000, several donors stepped forward donating the necessary funds needed to complete the job, and Harris was once again called on to provide all mechanical services.Read More

Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Expansion Phase II

Harris partnered with JW McClenahan and DPR Construction to design, coordinate and install complete HVAC systems for the new Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH). Utilizing Lean Construction techniques and BIM/VDC technology, Harris fabricated and installed over 1.7 million pounds of ductwork, 19 air handlers and related HVAC equipment serving this 521,000-square foot state-of-the-art LEED Gold medical facility in the heart of the Silicon Valley. Xcel Prairie Island Administration Building

Xcel Energy needed a new administration building near the site of its Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant. The building was designed to house more than 300 employees and save Xcel money on energy costs. Harris completed the HVAC, plumbing, piping and temperature controls for the new building. Terra Verde Corporate Campus Phase I

Harris completed the HVAC scope for the construction of the Terra Verde Corporate Campus. The new high-end office project located in the north corridor of Scottsdale, consists of four buildings. Minnesota Correctional Facility – Faribault

The Minnesota Correctional Facility – Faribault is a medium-security, level-three facility. Harris provided mechanical services for the multi-phased expansion and renovation. The project included the addition of three new living units, program buildings (psychological, religious, volunteer and education services), dining/kitchen area and the renovation of the senior care/special needs facility.
