Tesla Gigafactory

Harris’ scope included plumbing, mechanical piping, process piping and ductwork. This was a highly collaborative design-assist project. The facility is approximately 5.3 million square feet of operational production and advanced manufacturing space across multiple floors and several acres. Banner Del Webb Tower D

The Banner del Web project was a change of the lower floor of the building from a fully exhausted constant volume system to a variable air-volume system with return air. Harris was selected as the prime contractor based on qualifications and approach to execute the project. The David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah offers students over two dozen courses for students pursuing their undergraduate and master degrees. Harris was selected by Layton Construction and Argent Group as the design-builder for the mechanical and plumbing work on the new Innovation Pointe development. Hyatt Place Provo

Harris was selected as the mechanical and plumbing design-build partner by Bonneville Builders and PEG Development for the new four-story hotel located in Provo, Utah. This 84,000-square foot hotel consists of 132 minimalist-style rooms that include some of the new high-end Hyatt standards including new Moen type plumbing fixtures. Xcel 5th Street Substation Transformer Cooling System Replacement

Harris worked as the prime contractor for Xcel Energy’s 5th Street Substation Transformer Cooling System Replacement project. The project involved demolishing the existing cooling system and installing an efficient, closed-loop system to service the new transformer. Prior to the closed-loop system Harris installed, Xcel was drawing their cooling water from two deep wells. Gopher Resource Afterburner

Harris installed a new afterburner for Gopher Resource’s Tampa facility. The scope included installation of a new afterburner, support structure, platforms, walkways and necessary piping and duct to make operational. The new afterburner was installed in an operating lead recycling smelter plant. Harris personnel needed to safely perform their work in an environment filled with lead dust and with ambient temperatures of 131 degrees Fahrenheit. U of U Marriott Library Phases I, II, III (2015-2018)

Harris worked to improve the quality of the University of Utah Marriott Library’s occupant comfort by providing a retrofit of variable air volume (VAV) air handling systems and controls including piping modifications to relocate water pipes from above the Rare Books Vault. To avoid disrupting students and faculty, Harris made special arrangements to work during fall break when the library had fewer users. MCES Sludge Incinerator

Harris teamed with Von Roll Inc to provide sludge incineration at the largest of the eight sewage plants in the Metropolitan Council of Environmental Services (MCES) system.
