SLCC Westpointe Center

Harris was selected by Big-D Construction as the mechanical and plumbing subcontractor for the new Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Westpointe Career and Technical Education Center. Located in Salt Lake City, this two-story, 121,000-square foot building is a new, state-of-the-art education facility that houses skills labs, classrooms, faculty offices and administrative support.

This facility will include all the training equipment and tools to help advance individuals in their careers in Advanced Composites, Diesel Systems Technology, Machining, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Testing, Solar Energy Technology and Welding Fabrication and Inspection.

Understanding the variety of uses in this building, Harris installed air handling units and provided all the plumbing and piping. The project also included ductwork and gas and oil piping.
