WeWork TI @ Gateway 6

Harris was awarded the mechanical and plumbing scopes for the Level 4 and 5 WeWork office space at the Gateway 6 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The project was a retrofit in an existing office space, which required demo of existing systems and installation of new VAV’s, ductwork and piping. WeWork utilizes a number of open office areas with exposed ceilings, which made the quality of MEP installation a key component of the overall look and feel of the space. As the project was being closed out and final punch list walks were completed, Harris received high praise from both the WeWork and Layton Construction project teams, noting the thorough coordination of the field foremen and quality of installation. A few weeks after project turnover, the WeWork’s third party commissioning team was brought in to commission the mechanical systems, and was equally impressed with the quality and performance of the HVAC systems, noting the project as “one of cleanest mechanical installs they had seen in WeWork spaces across the nation.”

Overall this turned out to be a very successful project, and Harris’ field crews did a tremendous job with meeting the fast-tracked schedule and providing a finished project that represents the quality and experience Harris seeks to provide its customers.
