AAA – Clearfield

The AAA data center in Clearfield, Utah manages all help-needed calls coming in from west of the Mississippi. They are a 24/7 operation.

AAA had cooling and humidification needs in their data storage areas. They also needed redundancy in their systems to allow for maintenance. Harris fit three floors with CRAC and humidification units to meet their desired set points. A challenge was to maintain a tight set point for the cooling and humidification. For cooling, redundant units were installed and the system was controlled with BAS to monitor cooling and performance. For the humidification, CRAC units had internal steam humidity. The humidifiers were calcifying so in-duct humidification was added and the steam humidifiers were abandoned. Other work included hot isle containment, electrical work, duct and mechanical piping, sheet rock work, plumbing and ceiling tile work.

This job was a complete success. The clients at finish were very pleased with Harris’ timing, that we were able to meet their set point for cooling and humidification and the product they received. Our service department was also able to receive the service contract for the center.
