Harris’ Mehran Salehi Wins Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s 2023 40 Under 40 Award

(ST. PAUL, Minn.) – Consulting-Specifying Engineer announced today that Mehran Salehi, Building Environmental Science Associate, from Harris, was recognized as a 2023 40 Under 40 award winner.

The magazine honors 40 talented nonresidential building industry professionals under the age of 40 who stand out in both personal and professional aspects. Candidates are nominated by a colleague or mentor and then judged by industry experts based on nine areas, such as commitment to academics, their profession, personal lives and community.

Consulting-Specifying Engineer released this year’s list in their May online and print edition and the winners will receive their award at a ceremony in Chicago this fall.

As a Building Environmental Science Associate, Salehi plays a vital role in the Harris Design Studio (HDS) as the preeminent Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) expert. Since joining the HDS less than two years ago, Salehi has presented at two ASHRAE conferences and published three papers.

Salehi’s work has also been particularly valuable in Harris’ development of the design for the National Institutes of Health’s Surgery, Radiology and Lab Medicine project and in pursuits for Data Centers, Clean Rooms and many other facilities.

“I’m extremely honored to be the recipient of this award and feel fortunate to be part of the talented team at Harris Design Studio,” says Salehi. “Using CFD analysis and simulations to improve the quality of the HVAC designs is a true passion of mine. I’m excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in our industry.”
